The wars of apostasy occurred due to several reasons, which are as follows: The complete departure of the apostates from the Islamic religion. Some apostates refrain from paying zakat. Defending the Islamic religion, and confronting the apostates who returned to infidelity after Islam. The ignorance of the Arabs about the truth of the Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace; As their entry into Islam stemmed from their desire to obtain money and spoils, and their amazement at the power of Muslims that enabled them to control the Arabian Peninsula. The mask of tribalism that disguises the enemies of Islam; And their belief that the Islamic religion died by the death of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him.
